Meet the Horses

Amy is a registered 16yr old American Saddlebred mare from Maryland. She is a former 30k saddle seat show horse who was rescued from a neglect case in NC. She has been with me for five years and has grown into a loving and willing mare. 

Voodoo has passed on sadly but she will always be in our hearts. We all miss her so much. She was loved and cared for until her last breath. 

Voodoo is a chunky morgan mare from Newport, VT. Voodoo came to live with us back in March of 2021. She is very laid back and patient with our volunteers and kids. Voodoo has a birth defect called Gutteral Pouch where she has air pockets behind her jaw. She sounds funny, but is 100% healthy and in no pain. 

Gypsy is a special girl here on the farm. I previously owned Gypsy several years ago and sadly had to sell her. She sold to a local resident but ended up in the slaughter pipeline and shipped back in March. She was intercepted in VT by a rescue and they found me as her old owner and offered her back to me. I drove up and brought her home where she’ll stay till the end of her days. 

Coral and Dory have been the second longest residents here at the farm. They came to me around 5 years ago from a rescue that was shut down. Dory was only 3 months old and you could pick her up like a baby! Coral is Dorys mother and just didn’t have the heart to separate them. They’re both the sweetest ponies and are just like puppy dogs.

Tommy has been retired and now living out his life in retirement in North Carolina. He is happy and loving life.

Tommy is like a diamond in the rough. He had a rocky start when he first came to the farm, but now he is thriving and one of the best ponies for teaching kids the ropes of riding. He’s a bit older, but still has the energy of a younger pony. Tommy is very laid back and loves his neck scratched the most.
